giphy Hello to my beautiful followers, It has been a pleasure for me being with you the whole time. It's been a long and stressful term due to the pandemic. Yet, I think we succeeded enough to close the term with wishful thoughts. Online education was never my thing but I am grateful for having this much free time.  In this course that I write my blog for, Material Design in ELT, the most challenging thing for me was doing those tasks because I don't have any internet connection in my house. That's why, trying to be a big part of the group tasks really challenged me. However, I liked the course content. Throughout the term, you get used to preparing an exactly right material for the learners' needs. I think I became the most creative of me at the grammar and vocab teaching videos but Augmented Reality task was the hardest one. CREATING A VOCABULARY TEACHING VIDEO FOR YOUNG LEARNERS

Our target was 4th grade at primary school. Our task was creating a teaching video based on the words belong to that unit. We did this task for our topic Flipped classroom. Flipped classroom is a method that is applied by teachers who are a true follower of 21st century learning. Teachers save more time for activities and reinforcement for students by creating teaching videos for students to watch  and understand the topic at home. It has a disadvantage because every student has a different intelligence type. So, every on of them may not be good at learning by watching a video about the topic. chartboost        Hello My Dear Followers,    Today I am going to talk about how we prepared a material related to our last topic Flipped Classroom. Flipped classroom is an approach which supports that students can do their own learning when you give them the material so that you can have more class time that you can use to do more activities supporting the topic. For example, you are an English teacher at high school and the topic of the week is gerund-infinitive. You can prepare a video explaining the subject at home. Then, you can send it to the students they can watch it at home before coming to the class. So, you can spend your class time to do activities and spend your time more effectively. This is good for the teachers because their hard work would be less. However, some students may not be able to access such a learning video. USING AUGMENTED REALITY TO CREATE MATERIAL BEYOND ORDINARY

   datafloq    Hi guys,    I know I've been gone for two weeks but I'm back to announce my new task and a new experience. This week's task was creating a material using augmented reality and by that we mean students discover something feeling like it is real. It is kind of complicated but I will share the material me and my friends Zeynep and Adile have created. The task was choosing a city and 2 or 3 landmarks and a museum and a traditional food or festival and making students discover them by themselves using an app. We used ARize but there are lots of apps.    We chose Paris and its most known landmarks and museum. We thought it should be a city that everyone knows. FIRST TIME TRYING TO CREATE A MATERIAL

giphy Hello folks! I hope all of you are just fine. I am here to tell you what I've done for a task that I've been given. Last two lessons we talked about corpus and how to use it to create and design our teaching materials.  Corpus or corpora is a collection of data based on a specific word or phrase also texts that you are looking for. This is very helpful for teachers because you can even create your quizzes or exams or even basic lesson materials using corpus. The material that I created is a very simple one. Because this is my first time and I am not sure If it should have been more challenging. However my target is high school students and their curriculum isn't that challenging. My subject is the word 'simple'. Because you know it has both verb and noun functions and has two different verb meanings. So this is my worksheet  and I used  canva  to do it. I AM SOOO BACK!!!

giphy Hello fellas, I hope you are doing great. I know I said that I finished writing posts and disappointed you (hope so). Yet, this year we have a technology based course again given by the same teacher. So I will continue writing my blog. This course is called Material Design in ELT. In this course, we will be learning how to create and choose the right material that supports our teaching techniques. To do that properly and appropriate for 21st century, we should use technology and integrate technology in designing and preparing a material. I will keep blogging to share my experiences and the tasks that I will be given. I hope I can manage to do well this term for this course. Because I find it a little bit challenging. I will do my best and I will inform you about all of it. Stay home, stay safe and stay tuned.

                              giphy   For the last time, Hi folks!!!   This is the last post that I am going to share. Because it is the end of the term and Educational Technologies class. To start, I have learned so much about technology. Due to the fact that I am not a person who hasn't been really into technology, at first, I thought that I was going to fail the class. I was kind of feeling desperate. Because I knew most of my classmates were quite well in technology from the previous year. That made me think like that. Yet, throughout the term I saw that I could do many things with a simple tool and a simple device like my smartphone.   You may know if you read my blog post about the panel Padlet.
